Peace Crane for Japan

It’s been a couple of weeks since the earthquake and tsunami which devastated Japan and since the day of that event, I’ve been trying to think of a way to reach out to these people.  I’ve been a big fan of the Japanese and their culture for as long as I can remember. True, it all started with my fascination with anime, but it soon became way more than just that. I have a very high level of respect for the Japanese.

I stumbled upon this site where Makiko, a Japanese girl living in Spain, started a project wherein 1,000 paper cranes are to be made for the Japanese people. In Japan, it’s believed that making 1,000 paper cranes will make your wish come true. Her project is quite simple: Once you have your crane, you are to take a picture of it and send it to her via email. The photos will be sent to her friends and family in Japan.

I hope it’s not too late, but here’s my contribution:
